i'm not gonna lie, i'm a little disappointed with this falls runway debuts..

there were a few collections that were veeery lovely,

but nothing jaw dropping.

The Balmain Spring collection for 2012 took the cake for the whole year.

One Fall collection I did like was Mark Fast.. here are a few of my favorites:

yesterday, i attended a iMarketing Genius seminar and gained a some knowledge on what i'm doing wrong with my up and coming business..

quite alarming and my ego is hurt a bit but it was much needed.

i've awoken this morning, full of new ideas and strategy methods i know i need to implement.

it was really frightening being in the same room as a handful of savvy salesmen who are multimillionaires.

i was one of the youngest in the room.

everyone else was anywhere from their 40s to their 60s; everyone soaking up these pitches and ideas on how to double your income and brand yourself to become more desirable to masses.

i looked around before the seminar started and said to myself, "ha, i feel pretty good about this. these people look like they know what they're doing."

this 8 hour meeting turned into a huge wake up call and a life changing event.

a year long list of goals and deadlines are now in place and I can not wait for it to all unfold.

i'm a bad blogger.

with little free time and a whirlwind of unfortunate events,

i'm back to the drawing board.

without getting into details, i will tell you, november was not nice to me.

nonetheless, i'm alive and well and am clutching onto what's left of my optimism.

lately i've been daydreaming of owning an rv and getting outta this town i feel trapped in.

i've been looking up gypsy caravans

to whisk me away from responsibilities

and to a world full of adventure and the open road.

after hours of surfing blogs for inspiration

and hours on craigslist researching the costs of an rv,

i did my homework on how to rig an rv with solar panels and travel green.

the plans are in the works and i'm hoping to take this trip within a year.

i'm cleaning out my numerous closets and selling everything for real cheap.

come tuesday morning, i'm taking a trip to amoeba

and swapping out my records for cold hard cash which is going right into my savings.

and hope to reach my goal as early as spring.

and I'm home.

still dressed in my witch costume, minus the hat,

I'm exhausted and reek of cigarettes with a faint hint of rose oil.

as i get older, Halloween seems to be less and less exciting.

a damn shame because Halloween is my favorite holiday and i usually have something thrilling planned.

this year, all i did was work.

it's Sunday night, the day before Halloween

and I'm being an old lady,

sitting here organizing receipts and cuddling with my cat.

i feel asleep at 9:30pm last night. Saturday night.

Halloween weekend. I was out cold by 9 freakin 30.

Sigh.

I planned to hit up a friends party in Echo Park but decided to

"rest my eyes for just twenty minutes"

and woke up in a startle at 2am.

On Friday night,

Vintage Grime

was at Medusas Lounge,

vending for an event called Link'd.

Dressed in full mime attire, I attempted communicate with my potential customers with only facial expressions and hand gestures but

failed miserably.

I was thee most talkative mime in the history of the universe,

especially after a few beers.

I was out vending until about 2am

and had to be up at 7 the next morning for the Canoga Parks Farmers Market.

I have taken on the responsibility of booking and organizing vendors for a collective I'm calling ART Mart.

In hopes that this farmers market will grow and become a haven for local artists to showcase and network,

I will dedicate every Saturday morning to this community event and try to get more foot traffic to the area.

and have been obsessing over making hanging lanterns for my room.

What a weekend.

3 days, 4 trunk shows,

one exhausted me come Monday morning.

The girls and I kicked ass this weekend and vended all over Los Angeles.

Friday was Emerge LA, a celebration of fashion, art and music. Held at The Holding Co.,

I quenched my thirst at an open bar of guava flavored coconut water and rum.

Molly and I gyrated to ~~dubstep~~ while simultaneously swiping drunk girls credit cards on our Square.

I love drunk girls.

Especially when they're trading us their hard earn cash for smiles and used goods.

Saturday night, we frolicked with a handful no-name artists from Eagle Rock.

In the horribly lit parking lot of a god damned bowling alley,

we set up shop next to some guy giving out illegal tattoos.

Saturday night was also the first time I ever wanted to punch a 15 year old.

Sunday, double whammy.

We did a double shift at the Airliner in Lincoln Heights,

first for the Isis 3rd Invitational,

then for Heart On.

I was exhausted at this point so forgive me for lacking details.

All I can recall are cute girls in amazing clothes

and reeeally yummy $1 chocolate covered strawberries.

If you're looking for antique jewelry or distressed vintage furniture,

you should definitely check out this great hole in the wall shop.

The store itself is a little messy but I personally think digging for gold is half the fun.

I found this place completely by accident.

I was heading to Silverlake and somehow got lost in Little Ethiopia.

I was walking by, searching for a place to grab a bite,

when a vintage 70s monogram Gucci briefcase stopped me in my tracks.

I had to touch it.

In I went, bee-lining for the bag when Mona,

the sweet shop owner, noticed my excitement and came to greet me.

We chatted it up for almost an hour,

brushing on topics like how it is to run your own business,

to all of the gorgeous vintage finds she keeps hidden to the public.

We traded info and today, she hired me on as her assistant.

A day after I bitched and blogged about how I am unemployed,

24 hours later, I no longer am.

Interesting how the universe works.

I am 25 years old, a fashion college drop out & I'm unemployed.

Everything sucks; especially when I'm feeling lethargic and idle. For the past few hours I've lustfully caught up with a few fashion blogs and followed the journey of a handful of young, very young, successful women in this industry. From bloggers, to designers, to photographers and to those who just like to hoard. Beautiful stories to go with beautiful images.

alisa's been on my ass for weeks about how I should start blogging again and it wasn't until now that I finally listen. Fine, god dammit. I will.

I felt useless for about two hours today. Busy drowning in self pity and bullshit because Vintage Grime isn't where I want it to be. I sluggishly collected for years now and recently starting hitting the streets of L.A. to make a quick buck. Last night we were at the Dragonfly on Santa Monica Blvd. flipping my vintage apparel to a few drunks, artists and some chick with a ukelele. I don't remember her name but she was wearing navy blue hot pants and is the proud new owner of our silver rose concho belt. I tip my hat to her great taste and nice behind.

Things haven't been that ~~bad~~, I just want them to get reeeeal good. I haven't been at full potential and,

like $he $aid, I need to make it rain.
